Freelance work requires a great deal of self-discipline and also a flexible, well-organized work area, especially when working from home.
With all the e-mails, telephone calls, appointments and projects awaiting completion, my daily routine is an extremely busy one. But I always do my best to find time to dedicate to myself and to my home.
I work in the field of home styling, so my office/flat is also my "visiting card". So I have chosen furnishing which is sober and functional, suitable for my private and professional needs while maintaining the warm atmosphere of a real home.
The large oak table is my favourite piece of furniture: this is where I do most of my work, and the table acts as a link between the living area, where I receive my clients, and the kitchen, which is spacious and attractive, but also extremely practical, so I don't waste any precious time.
Twice a week – on Tuesdays and Fridays – I take advantage of my lunch break to go to yoga lessons at Alessandra's small gym just round the corner from my home. This is where I met Silvia, and we very quickly became friends. Like me, she moved here to Verona for work, and she, like me, is a health fanatic.
It was thanks to Silvia that I discovered the zero-miles market, where every Monday I shop for organic products for the rest of the week. But I have to go now, because I need to get everything ready.
Silvia is popping in tonight for an aperitif and a light dinner, but mainly to get me up to speed on her love life – I can't wait!
