Being a single and always on the ball can be stressful, but with a super-equipped kitchen like mine, it's much easier and more fun!
7:15 – An early start so I can do my exercises. While I'm working out, I remember that I need to empty the washing machine, which I set last night, and load the dryer, so that by the time I have showered and had some breakfast, my clothes will be dry. My kitchen is specifically designed for people like me who are always in a rush. The laundry corner, in particular, is a truly great idea, as it makes the kitchen more functional so I can get things done more quickly!
8:10 – I'm still stuck in traffic when I get the first "good" news: a bug in a client's IT system has blocked all their terminals and we need to fix the problem at the speed of light! After dozens of phone calls and races against time, the server is working again, but the day is only just starting...
18:30 – On the way home I pop into the supermarket: I need to pick up a few ingredients so that I can bake a fruit tart that I can take into the office tomorrow, partly to help calm everybody down after today's emergency, but mainly to impress a new colleague... While I'm at it, can I drop off my shirts at the cleaners for ironing – I have my limits!
19:45 – I reach home and get changed, but before relaxing on the settee one last chore: I need to mix the pastry for the tart and then cook myself an enormous omelette – after all, I skipped lunch!
21:20 – Finally, the tart is on the oven: I set the timer and also the alarm on my phone, because I can't risk falling asleep and burning the tart. What a day!
